HOW TO SPOT AN EXPERIENCED DESIGNER

With all the tools apps available today, being a designer is easy for anyone. But when it comes to effective design make sure your choose and agency that can deliver your product to the highest standard.

Vector: Your designer will always ask you if you have your logo in vector format, this is one of the most important elements in your artwork, to use a low resolution file that will ultimately pixelate won’t show your company in the best light.

To print or not: An effective designer will first ask what your end goal is. Are you printing an A5, are you printing a poster? Is your artwork going to be used over multiple pieces? Armed with this, your design can prepare artwork that can be adapted to various forms without losing consistency.

Wikid uses the Double Diamond – Discover is part where we receive your brief and analyse the important parts with you. We find out all the details needed for your campaign and your goal before we continue.

DEVELOP

Ever heard of mapping it out?
In our development phase we get down to pen and paper, maybe a few coloured markers to draw inspiration, and we mind map your campaign. We research what your competitors are up to, to make sure we don’t duplicate what has been done and to also see the opportunities.

DESIGN

The creative approach
Now this is the fun part. We get to take all our research, maps and inspiration and bring it all together on in our top of the range design programmes. Our design programmes are an important tool in the design phase, these give us the added functionality needed to achieve  that ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking from the development phase.

FINALISE, QUALITY ASSESSMENT AND SUBMIT

Ready to showoff your new design
Once we have finalised your design and you have signed off the artwork, we submit the files in print ready format as well as a low resolution file, in case you want to email the designs to your clients. We always keep a backup of your artwork – just in case!
